A club buying twenty shirts is the order. Until now the only way to place one on most websites was twenty separate trips through a product page, typing a name and a number and a size, twenty times, hoping you had not skipped anyone.
Every personalised product on the new site has a squad list built into it.
Paste your team sheet
You almost certainly already have the list in a spreadsheet. Copy it, paste it into the box, and the table fills itself in. It reads what Excel and Google Sheets put on the clipboard, and it reads a comma-separated file too, so an exported list works just as well.
Three things it does that save an argument later:
- It recognises your column headings. If your first row says Surname, Squad number, Size, it uses that order. If your list opens straight onto a player, it treats it as data, because most club lists do.
- Sizes are matched loosely. L, Large, large and a stray space all land on the same size.
- Anything it cannot match is flagged in red and left out of the total, rather than quietly swapped for a size nobody asked for. If you have an XXXL on your list and this product does not go up that far, you find out on the page.
The columns are the product's own
A football shirt asks for initials, a name and both number sizes, because that is what a football shirt carries. A work jacket asks for initials and a name, because there is no squad number on a fitter's coat. A product that cannot be printed at all gives you a plain size-and-quantity sheet instead, which is still far quicker than twenty trips through a product page.
Your badge is set once, not per row
A club has one crest and wants it in one place on all twenty shirts. So the artwork and its position sit in a band above the table and apply to the whole order. It is the names and the numbers that change down the list, and those are the only things the table asks you for.
Every line still arrives as its own line on the order, carrying that player's own details, so the print room reads a row per garment exactly as it would a single order. The printing charges are added up into one line per type rather than sixty separate ones, because twenty players would otherwise fill a basket nobody can read.
It knows the difference between a team and a staff list
On the workwear side the same panel asks you to add a staff member to a staff list, not a player to a squad, and the order line reads Staff order. A contractor kitting out six fitters should not be asked to name their team.
Save it, or send it round
Save a list once and it is there next time you order — the same twenty people whether you are buying shirts, shorts or socks, so you are not retyping it per garment. Saved lists live on your own device.
To pass one round the committee, or carry it into next season, download it as a spreadsheet. It writes the same columns the paste box reads, so it goes straight back in.
What it costs
Exactly what it would cost one at a time — see the personalisation prices. Then 10% comes off automatically over £100, which a squad order comfortably clears, and UK delivery is free over £300.
The panel shows you the running total as you fill the table in, before delivery and any bulk discount.
Paying on a purchase order
Schools, councils and businesses can enter a PO number in the basket and attach the PO document itself. How purchase orders work.
