Our New Website Is Live: Teamwear, Workwear and a 3D Kit Designer

We have rebuilt eastpointsports.net from the ground up, and it is live today.

The old site did one job: it listed products. This one is built around how our customers actually buy. A club secretary ordering twenty shirts with twenty different names on them. A site manager kitting out six fitters. A school business manager who cannot pay for anything without a purchase order number on it. None of those people were well served by a normal product page, and all three now have a proper route through the site.

Here is everything that is new.

Two storefronts, one basket

East Point Sports and East Point Workwear are now genuinely separate sides of the site. Each has its own homepage, navigation, brands and look, so you are not wading through hi-vis trousers to find a goalkeeper shirt, or through shinpads to find a softshell.

They share one basket and one checkout. If you are a club that also needs branded polos for the committee, or a business that sponsors a local side, you order it all in one go and pay once. The basket groups your items by range so you can see what belongs to what.

More than 6,000 products in total, and over 5,000 of them can carry your name, number or logo.

See it on the garment before you buy it

This is the change we are most pleased with. Put a name, a number or your club badge onto a product and you now see it rendered on a 3D model of that garment, which you can spin. Not a flat rectangle floating over a photograph — the real shape, with the artwork wrapping the cloth and the garment's own shading falling across it.

Nineteen garment shapes are modelled, from a football shirt and a pair of playing shorts to a cap, a beanie, an apron and a holdall. The model also takes its colour from the product's own photograph, so a patterned shirt shows as a patterned shirt rather than a flat block of the nearest colour name.

Everything it shows you is measured in real millimetres. The panel tells you how wide your badge will actually print, draws the printable area on the garment so you can see where the mark can and cannot go, and warns you if the file you have uploaded is too low-resolution to print well — before it reaches our press, rather than after.

Names, numbers and logos, priced up front

No more "call for a quote" on personalisation. Every option is priced on the page and the total updates as you type:

• Initials — £1.75 per letter
• Name — £0.80 per letter
• Small numbers — £1.75 per character
• Large numbers — £2.00 per character
• Small logo, large logo or sponsor logo — £3.95 each

You choose where each mark goes from a proper list of positions for that garment — left chest, upper back, sleeve, thigh — and the artwork moves to match. What the screen shows and what the order says can no longer disagree.

How personalisation works, and what it costs

Order a whole squad in one go

A club buying twenty shirts is the order, and the only way to place one used to be twenty separate trips through a product page.

There is now a squad list on every personalised product. Paste your team sheet straight out of Excel or Google Sheets — name, number, size, one row per player — and it fills the table for you. Sizes are matched loosely, so L, Large and large all land on the same size, and anything it cannot match is flagged in red rather than quietly swapped for something nobody asked for.

Your badge and its position are set once for the whole order, because a club has one crest and wants it in one place on all twenty shirts. Each player still arrives as their own line on the order, so the print room reads a row per garment.

The same panel works for staff lists, and says so — on the workwear side it asks you to add a staff member to a staff list, not a player to a squad. You can save a list to reuse next season, or download it as a spreadsheet to pass round the committee.

Pay on a purchase order

Schools, clubs, councils and businesses raise purchase orders, and a supplier who cannot take one is a supplier their finance office cannot use.

There is now a PO number field in the basket on every side of the site. It travels through to the order as a proper structured field, not buried in the order notes, so it appears on your paperwork where your finance team expects it. You can also attach the PO document itself — a PDF from your finance system — and it rides along with the order.

If your organisation cannot order without one, we can set your account so the site will not let anyone check out without entering it.

A free online shop for your club

We build and host club shops at no cost to the club. Your crest, your kit, your colours, on its own page of this site. Parents order their own child's kit in their own size with their own name on it, and pay for it themselves. The club stops being the middleman for sizes, money and chasing.

A corporate shop is the same idea for staff uniform. One page with your approved garments on it, already carrying your logo in the right place and the right size, so new starters order their own kit and nobody has to keep a spreadsheet of who has what.

Delivery, discounts and accounts

• UK delivery is £6, and free on orders over £300. Your basket now shows you how far off free delivery you are.
• 10% comes off automatically over £100 — no code to remember, and it applies to team orders, which are exactly the size that qualifies.
• You can still collect from us in Lowestoft.
• Signing in is now a code sent to your email. No password to forget, and no password for anyone to steal.
